Phoenix Register of Shipping has been established in Greece in the year 2000.

The corporation is a Greek Society Anonym and according to its Constitutional Document is acting as a Classification Society for Ships.

The formation of Phoenix Register of Shipping was the dream of two key persons, its Technical Director and President of the Board of Directors - Mr. A.N.Arvanitakis and its Managing Director - Mr. I.S.Damopoulos which became true in early 2000.

These two persons, having a strong and well proven background on the classification business, are leading PH.R.S. up today, being both of them Naval Architects - Engineers with deep knowledge of maritime business.

PH.R.S., today, operates its Head Office in the maritime centre of Piraeus, two branch offices with exclusive surveyors, in Turkey and United Arab Emirates and co-operates with another 30 offices for a worldwide representation involving more than 50 non exclusive surveyors, thus providing an excellent level of services with worldwide coverage.

PH.R.S. upgraded and fully computerized infrastructure, enables a real 24/7 worldwide service.
