Classification Services :: SERVICE SUPPLIERS

PH.R.S. providing classification and statutory services is necessary to incorporate activities beyond the scope of its services and therefore service suppliers are used instead. Such cases are the thickness measurement of steel plates of the vessels, in order to ascertain their constructional integrity, the performance testing of radio and electronic equipment used on board the ships, the underwater inspection etc.

PH.R.S. quality of services is directly related with the qualification and the reliability and professionalism of the service suppliers involved. Therefore, PH.R.S. is evaluating all service suppliers prior their acceptance to provide services to PH.R.S classed vessels.

PH.R.S. approval for service suppliers is carried out under certain procedures, according to PH.R.S. Rules & Regulations. Such procedures, are in line with the relative requirements of I.A.C.S. An approved Service Supplier shall possess a valid Approval Document related to its services, available for demonstration To Whom It May Concern. Any non-approved but qualified service supplier may apply for approval. The relative application form is available for download here.

PH.R.S. recognize, by default, any Service Supplier who is possessing, at least, one Approval Document from any of the I.A.C.S members.
